Q. Do you provide security services during wedding receptions?
A. At the request of the bride and groom, The Venetian retains the services of a reputable security company. The security guards patrol the premises and inform guests about and enforce applicable laws within their mandate available ie. no alcoholic beverages permitted outside the premises of The Venetian and no smoking in the premises of The Venetian.
Q. What would happen to a function held at The Venetian if there was a failure of hydro power otherwise known as a “Black Out”?
A. Unlike other event venues, The Venetian Banquet & Hospitality Centre is equipped with a high-tech gas-operated power generator. Accordingly, it is highly unlikely that there would be any disruption to any Venetian events. In fact, during the August '03 Black Out, every function held at The Venetian was able to proceed as though there was no Black Out. Venetian customers and their guests were most pleased that their event turned out as they had originally planned.
Q. Would there be any disruption to a Venetian event if lightening struck The Venetian building?
A. The Venetian Banquet & Hospitality Centre has installed lightening rods in strategic places on its roof to counteract any electrical current to the building. As such, we are pleased to inform Venetian patrons that there is a very low probability that there would be any disruption to your event if lightening should ever strike the Venetian structure.
Q. Is the Venetian staff trained in First Aid and CPR?
A. The Venetian Team is pleased to advise that most of its staff members are certified in First Aid and in CPR and have to date successfully assisted guests on numerous occasions.
Q. Are The Venetian bartenders certified in the Smart Serve Program offered by the provincial government?
A. The Venetian Team is pleased to advise that the bartending staff are certified in the Smart Serve Program to protect not only Venetian patrons but the public at large.
Q. Do The Venetian kitchen staff follow the Ministry of Health guidelines in its preparation and cooking of food?
A. Not only do we follow Ministry of Health guidelines in the preparation and cooking of food, but we have gone one step beyond and have implemented HACCP – a standard of kitchen processing and operation considered more stringent that that imposed by the Ministry of Health. Quality of food is important at The Venetian, but food handling is priority.
Q. Has The Venetian ever been nominated for any hospitality award?
A. The Venetian is proud to announce that it is the recipient of the prestigious 2005 Vaughan Chamber of Commerce Hospitality Award in April, 2005.
